Levels of Involvment

Coaching Package

Commitment

Provide 4 coaches for the CREATION stage onwards. Coaches are allocated to teams from the CREATION onwards (& ACTION STAGE if teams are selected) with a minimum requirement of 2hours per  month of coaching.

  • Sponsors will automatically join the SENStation network

Service Package

Commitment

Provide services for the 20 teams in the CREATION STAGE or 8 teams in the ACTION STAGE. Services includes any type of benefits you can give to teams or its members: Voucher, SaaS membership, Airline tickets, reports.

STAGE 1: IDEATION

Application Process and Market Test
(01 Oct. – 15 Dec. 2013)

Students

  • Teams of students register their ideas and create social media accounts to promote their idea.
  • 20 projects will be selected that will go to the next round!

Sponsors

  • Sponsors register www.f6s.com/gc2organizations
  • Sponsors decide how much time and resources they provide to one or several teams and choose the package of involvement
  • Sponsors don’t have any requirement during this phase, but it is encouraged to get in contact with teams to share your knowledge (we will play the role of matchmaker)
  • Sponsors will play a big role in attracting bright students from all over the world
  • Organisations can also have a say in the selection of the 20 projects. The company representative will also be able to see applications.

Selection

We can allow a maximum of one guiding coach per team and more than one mentor.

STAGE 2: CREATION

Business Plan Development

(08 Jan. – 31 Mar. 2014)

Students

  • Teams of students will have to design a business plan for their social enterprise.
  • They will record 3 minutes videos about the ideas.
  • They will present the ideas during the SENS conference.
  • A maximum of 8 teams will be selected by the community to go to the ACTION STAGE.

Sponsors

  • Sponsors depending of their involvement package will provide coaches and/or services to the teams
  • We will match sponsors and teams depending on mutual interests
  • Each team will have only one guiding coach.
  • Sponsors will be advertised during the GC² to raise awareness of the projects.
  • Organisations can put any amount of resources on top of their involvment package to ensure the success of the teams they coached

Evaluation

  • All professionals and other stakeholders will vote for their favourite projects

STAGE 3: ACTION

Crowd-funding and Implementation
(1 Apr. – 30 June 2014)

Students

  • Finalists will participate in a crowd-funding event and develop an implementation plan.
  • 3 top projects with the highest potential will be chosen by the panel of experts and announced at the end of the challenge.

Sponsors

  • During this final stage, coaching continues to take place to give the maximum chances of success to each project
  • Sponsors endorsement during the crowdfunding one month period will be critical to raise subsequent funding to implement the 8 finalist projects
  • Sponsors can also have a determinant impact on the implementation phase with their network, knowledge and resources
  • Cross advertising of the results of the GC² by all sponsors will increase their individual exposure

Evaluation

The panel of judges will highlight 3 projects with the best potential by June 30th, 2014
